This policy explains the documented handling of information submitted through Freedom to Give newsletter signup forms and direct contact messages.
Newsletter signup information
When a newsletter signup form is displayed, it invites readers to “Leave your email for future Freedom to Give updates.” The form asks for an email address and explicit consent using the wording: “I agree to receive email updates from Freedom to Give.”
Submitting the form creates a record in the site’s WordPress database. That record contains the email address, a duplicate-check hash, the signup time, the source page path without its query or fragment, the consent wording accepted at signup, and the collection status.
The signup feature collects interest in future updates. Email delivery, confirmation, and unsubscribe functions require separate configuration, so submitting the form records a signup request rather than guaranteeing that messages are currently being sent.
Spam prevention
The signup system creates temporary anti-spam rate records using hashed network identifiers. These records are cleared through periodic cleanup.
Contact messages
If you email Freedom to Give, the message includes the information you choose to provide. This may include your email address, message, and any attachments you send. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed to answer your question or request.
Record access and retention
Authorized site administrators can view, export, and remove newsletter signup records. Newsletter records remain in the WordPress database until an administrator removes them or an erasure request is processed. WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools include these newsletter records.
Your choices
You do not have to submit a newsletter form or send a contact message. If you previously signed up, you may request access to or removal of your newsletter record by emailing contact@freedomtogive.com. Include the email address used for the signup so the relevant record can be identified.
Links to other websites
Freedom to Give may link to other websites. Those sites maintain their own privacy information and may handle data differently. Review the privacy information on any linked site before submitting personal information there.
